Why? Why not!?!

Lazy Day, Lazy Weekend

| 0 Comments | 0 TrackBacks

Finally... it seems like WEEKS since I've gotten 2 consecutive days off from work.

So, I'm watching DVD's, playing Madden, and playing Tiger Woods.

I might even see how I handle alcohol in my system now that I've gotten rid of the Zoloft.

Maybe Monday won't come...

OUCH!!!

Not only did we lose, but we lost badly... no offensive scores, and the only scoring at all was from a fumble return.... They whipped us and whipped us good.

That's just the way it is.

And next week, we have Miami at VT... that could be good, or that could be ugly... we'll just have to wait and see.

But still... ouch!

It's On!!!

Tonight (not sure why on a Wednesday night, though?), my Virginia Tech Hokies will play the West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown!!!

It's finally time to see if the team's any good! So far, the only decent team we've played has been Texas A&M (current record 3-4, we won 35-19). The Mountaineers are 2-4, but this is different. This is a grudge match!

They're upset we're leaving them behind for the ACC. They're just like a cross-town rival anyway. So, of course they're going to be mad.

We're also playing in their back yard! If you remember back in '99, the year we finished the season undefeated, it came down to a set of amazing plays by Michael Vick to win it in the last minute of play. And that year, we were better than WVU too. Records don't matter, schedule strength doesn't matter, it's just 2 teams hating each other!

And I think we'll win handily, but you just never know!

Cowboys First

How 'bout them Cowboys?

Sure, it's really early, and sure, we haven't played anyone yet. But today, we're 3-1 and first in the NFC East!!! Hell, we haven't won 3 games in a row in a long time. And how long since we've led the division? It has to be way back in '96 (although I'm not really sure about that one).

And as of this week, we have the number one rated offense in the NFL. Who'd have thunk it?

I wasn't sure what I thought of us bringing in Parcells, but I did respect him. Now, he's shown me some things, as the 'Boys are definitely back.

So, back to reality, will they even make the playoffs this year? I still don't even know, but I can still hope!
