Reflections

I don’t watch SNL much anymore. It hasn’t been as funny since the days of Mike Meyers, Jon Lovitz, and Dana Carvey.
Tonight they’re showing “The Best of Christopher Walken” on SNL. All of this is stuff I haven’t seen.
So, when I saw the “Colonel Angus” skit, I literally busted out laughing. Imagine someone with a southern accent saying the words “Colonel Angus”, and it sounds nearly identical to the word “Cunnilingus”. As you can imagine, with SNL, they just kept the jokes a-coming. Absolutely hilarious!

This is a joke I saw a while back, but recently rediscovered. I still find it amusing.

Well, I’ve made a couple of formatting changes since upgrading to MT3.
I’ve added a “subscription service” to the website. So, if you’d like to be emailed whenever I update the site, just subscribe, and you’ll be receive an email as soon as a new post has been added to the site.
I’ve also added some licensing to the site. According to the licensing, you may use what I write, but you can’t change it, and you can’t make any money off of it. But you do have to credit me for it. I don’t know if there’ll ever be anything that someone would want to use from my site. But this way, I won’t need to worry about it.
I still have a couple of other ideas for the site, but will certainly take my time in implementing.
I’m still looking to tweak the site formatting, but couldn’t figure some of it out. For example, how can I get rid of the double-spacing in the “Archives” section? I know it’s a style-sheet setting, but none of the changes that I made resulted in single-spaced months. The “Links” section is single-spaced, but those links are manually added, where MT generates the month archives. Any help?

Hopefully, in the next few days, I’ll find the time to do a couple of updates:

• The Tesla concert
• A couple of site changes
• Some interesting thoughts about the Survivor: All-Stars finale (yeah, yeah, I know I’m a week late… but I’ve been busy… and then I’ve still got to take some transcripts of the show… you’ll see where I’m going when I post)

Well, gas is almost $2 per gallon… any help any time soon? It was less than 7 years ago, when I was paying less than $1 per gallon… and the job still gives me the ol’ “well, CPI is less than 2%” every year? Not buying it…
I’ve upgraded to MT 3.0D. I know tons of people are upset about the licensing and cost changes changes, but I’m a single author using a single blog. I’m not really affected. I am hoping for some new features (can’t wait for the moblogging feature), but am patient… especially since I fall into that free licensing category. But I can definitely see where some other people would be upset. Just look at the trackbacks of the link above for more clarification.

It’s almost May… it’s getting nice outside… and on May 8th…
Tesla!!!
I can’t wait to see them in concert. Obviously, this will be the first time I’ve seen them in concert in over ten years (they were broken up for about ten years). Even though I could have spent my spring break in Detroit, where they were playing an acoustic CD release set (that would have been incredible), I instead chose to go to Miami. What a horrendous decision that was. But on May 8th, that wrong will be righted.
As for their new CD… I’m basically listening to about 4 of the songs more than the rest of the CD. “Words Can’t Explain”, “Caught up in a Dream”, “Got no glory”, and “Recognize Only You” are basically my favorite songs on the CD. Doesn’t “Caught up in a Dream” remind you of good ol’ Tesla? Where it’ll get kind of heavy, and then an acoustic riff will take over the song… Damn, I love when they do that!
